YUMA ACED
ABEC Career Exploration and Development
Yuma ABEC is Booming in Yuma County!
Yuma ABEC is so excited for the 2024-2025 school year.
The ACED project is an exciting initiative designed to empower students to navigate their educational journey with confidence and insight. By providing them with the necessary tools to understand essential employability skills and credentials crucial for success in the workforce, the project sets a solid foundation for their future endeavors.
Through ACED, students gain real world insights and acquire essential, basic skills, exciting them about future career pathways and providing relevancy to their education. The program provides students opportunities to:
- Gain exposure to a wide array of
careers - Explore their own interests and
passions and develop an
understanding of how they
translate into future career goals - Set goals and make plans for
achieving them through pathway
planning designed to guide them
into high school and beyond - Position themselves to make more
informed educational choices - Develop employability skills for a
lifetime of success
Emphasizing partnerships with businesses, this initiative not only bridges the gap between education and the workforce but also aligns career exploration activities with the dynamic demands of today’s and tomorrow’s job market. Through these partnerships, the ACED project maximizes opportunities for students to explore and pursue career pathways that align with their passions and talents while meeting the evolving needs of the workforce now and into the future.
